- The SmartValve System Controls provide easy field replacement of a wide range of SV9500, SV9501, SV9502 and SV9602 SmartValve System models. Gas appliance manufacturers use these models in many types of gas fired heating appliances including central furnaces, residential boilers, rooftop furnaces, commercial cooking appliances, and unit heaters. These controls provide intermittent pilot gas ignition sequencing, pilot flame sensing, and both pilot and main gas control functions in a single control. They are directly compatible with the Q3450 or Q3480 Intermittent Pilot burners used with the original controls on the appliance.

don't think that i'd buy this again.
This is the second smart valve that we have purchased and had installed in the past year. I am not impressed with the lack of dependability of the part.

The Valve was defective out of the box. The team at SupplyHouse were excellent helped get a new one out fast,but next one bad two. Bought a new furnace. Sume it up SupplyHouse easy to work with Great help, great customer service but GAS VALVE not so good.

yes this valve will replace that old one this is an updated one sv9501m8124 and it will work for LP or natural gas the valve will come with the extra parts for the conversion

sv9500M 8600 is no longer made of course. Honey recommends SV9501M8129, as a replacement. Use the Honeywell application reference. Online google SV9501 Honeywell and find the installation and application procedures. It may be that ignition hot system or the transformer is not working. This procedure to isolate which component is at fault is shown in the above application reference and is specific for the SV9500 and for 9501
