Pilot Assembly, Thermopile w/ Tubing (Propane), 100093983

The thermopile was an exact match for my Reliance propane water heater. It was well packaged and was recieved on time. The instructions were easy to use and covered propane and natural gas also. Installation went without a problem. The real gem was the Customer Service. I'm a homeowner not a professional and the folks at Supply House made certain I got what I needed at a fair price. I will use your business again and recommend you without hesitation.

I purchased this parat to replace the thermophile in my propane water heater. The biggest knock on this part is the fact the gas line from the control panel to the pilot light had nothing to hold the line in place at the control panel. Every ice maker water line or gas line I have ever had to replace had a sleeve that fit over the line and holds the line secure after the nut is tightened. This set had a cone that sat on top of the line. After I installed this sucker there were a couple issues. 1) when pilot light was lit, it was acting like it was not getting enough gas to keep it lit, 2) the cone that fit ON TOP of the line does not hold the line in place, creating a leak. Thank goodness I had an extra ice maker water line assembly. I took the sleeve from this assembly and placed it over the line and then tightened the nut. Wouldn;t you know, there was no leak, gas line stayed in place and pilot light lit within a few tries. IF I would recommend this to a friend, I would have to tell them they need to get some sleeves to fit on the line to keep everything secured. I contacted someone before I ordered regarding the issue of not having a sleeve in the kit. She stated she saw the sleeve in the kit. what was in that kit is not worth the brass it was made from.
