Hi, If I remember correctly, the guy who installed the valve did not have to adjust or caliberate the valve. The valve is really simple to operate, there is a black ON/OFF/PILOT switch on top and a red temperature dial in front which you set to whatever heat you prefer. You may need to drain the water heater using a hose before installing the valve. Good luck.
No, there is no adjustments. If it is the same model as the original, you should not have any problems. If it is not, you should, as minimum, verify the physical specifications to match the original.
