Magnesium will be fine
Part number 100109594
I have an A.O. Smith, but I believe the 3/4" size is common with all. My rods are 32". From everything I have researched, Magnesium is the best. I do not, or never have detected an odor. I change mine out every two years but it depends on how hard your water is and whether you have a water softener. Water softeners accelerate the problem! After two years, they are over half eaten up.
Yes, it is.
9000029005 is the recommended anode rod for that unit (formerly part 183523-029).
It fits my A.O. Smith Pro Max FCG 100 270
Yes, the anode rod would work. The length of the anode would be an issue if it was long enough to touch the bottom of the tank, but if this happened, the anode could be cut to size.
9000029005 is the recommended anode rod for that water heater. This rod should also work.
It looks like it will work
Yes, it does.
This anode rod should be fine, as long as the extra 3" wouldn't prevent it from physically fitting inside the unit.
It may work, as the threading for anode rods tends to be universal, but we couldn't say for sure. The shorter length would not be a problem, other than that the rod may not last as long.
You would need part 9003944005.
