The ET115-002 universal water softener or water filter air gap is designed to provide a convenient way to install an air gap into 1-1/2" standpipe drain. This air gap can be connected using a rigid PVC pipes or flex tubing with adapters. The unique design provides a completely protected air gap without any possibility of water splashing out. The inlet accommodates 3/4" threaded PVC pipes or adapters.
The ET115-002's minimum flow rate is 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM) and the maximum flow rate is 9 gallons per minute (GPM). The minimum and maximum flow rates through an air gap are the lowest and highest flow rates at which water does not splash outside of an air gap. At minimum or maximum flow rate, the air gap is dry on the outside.
It is easy to use, easy to install, and easy to maintain. The ET115-002 air gap is UPC and IPC listed.

Works well
Works well forcwater softener drain line. 3/4" size is hard to find and it us better than refucing to 1/2". Fits snug on pvc pipe, no need to glue, so it can be removed if drain pipe needs to ve changed.

Recommended product
I was in the mechanical contracting business for 45 years before I retired. An old saying about the shoemaker's kid needing shoes applies here. I installed a softener in my home in 2003. The discharge had no air gap. I had to replace it this year. I have used this type of air gap before and liked everything about it. When I saw it on your website, I hit buy. My new softener has a code complying discharge too.

Good investment
I bought this for use on my whole home water filtration backwash piping. Code in my area requires an air gap since it connects to a potable water system.
Works as advertised. Fit perfectly on 1.5" schedule 40 pipe. I may get a drop or three that splashes out but nothing to lose sleep over.
The air gap also let me see that I had a small 1 drop/sec leak from my backwash piping. Turns out the water softener valve wasn't seating properly.
