REPLACING IGNITION TRANSFORMER ONCE A YEAR?
Sounds like the gap is not correct.
If the (this particular one) is installed and you have the proper Gap at the electrode, you will get more than 10 years out it if not more.
Also, checking to make sure you have the proper voltage feeding the transformer would be something to check.
*I have installed 100+ of these transformers over these past 30+ years.
Never had one last less then 10 years!
