Best price for a great product
Purchased CH-41Z to replace old CH-7 BoilerMate installed 22 years ago, which was still operational but showing signs of external corrosion. Removed old one and installed new one in about 3.5 hours. The top connections made it a breeze! So glad I made this choice. The space was tight. Making all 4 connections on the same side and on the bottom would have been a nightmare.

Never received the boilermate.
The promised delivery was late, even after the trucking company called and confirmed a day for delivery. After the 2nd week, never heard from the trucking, I canceled my order. Now another 3 weeks have past since canceling the order, I have not received credit from Supplyhouse . They tell me, no credit until they receive the boilermate! That is a terribly way to be treated since i never received delivery!!
They need a better trucking firm for deliveries in my area.
Why hold my payment up for a item i never received !!!!
I have used Supplyhouse in the past with no problems before this, disappointing.
PS I called Supplyhouse after the trucking company missed their confirmed delivery and they told me to call the trucking firm ,which I did and the mailbox was full.

Good price, damaged during shipping
This was shipped via Old Dominion freight. When I picked up from the driver, we slid the tank from a pallet into my truck. I looked quickly around to see if any damage and did not see any. Until I got home and saw a big scratch on box and tank. It seems when we put into my truck, the damage was not visible so I accepted delivery. Not until after got home did I see this scratch. Sent a not to Supply House to let them know, but never received a response. Would have been nice to receive a response back, but nothing therefore taking away one star. Installed tank as a replacement for WH-17 which seems to be working fine.

Excellent warranty response to premature failures.
This is my third replacement due to leaking, over the last ten years. First two were the bottom flange model. One rusted completely out at the bottom and the second one developed leaks around the bottom flange gasket. This last one is one of the new style top flange models, but it started leaking from the top flange gasket.
Have received warranty replacement tank, am waiting on a couple of connecting parts before i can swap out.
When not leaking, functions well.

If I needed it, I would definitely buy this again
The unit arrived safe, and in perfect condition. The only negative issue. The delivery company never let me know they were here. They left the unit sitting on the side of the road, nest to the driveway. A neighbor of mine passing down the road saw it and called me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known it was there. If someone dishonest had gotten there first. I would never had received it

Go with Well Mcclain. Amtrol is a disposable product. So much work to install for short lifespan. Supply House might want to rethink stocking from once was a great company. Amtrol 1st unit leaked immediately. Replacement lasted 3 1/2 years. Discouraging and costly

Failed After 3 Years - No Warranty Coverage
Boilermate has a 6-year warranty but it is not transferable. We purchased home 3 months after the unit was installed and it failed after 3 years -- clearly a manufacturers defect. No warranty coverage.

Verified Reply- AnonymousIt depends on the boiler and your application. For example: if the boiler's not going to heat the house and there is a domestic hot water call it could increase fuel consumption.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffOversizing a boiler to accommodate an indirect water heater is rarely necessary. Indirects almost always are configured to be a "priority" zone in a system, so that the DHW zone does not operate at the same time as any of the space-heating zones.

You really don't need to upsize the boiler, since the water heater doesn't call for heat much except for peak use times like morning showers, etc. I would not recommend the Boilermate, however. The one I purchased failed after two years and I replaced it with a Lochinvar Squire. Paul Merolla President

I think you would need to provide more information. How many tubs do you have and how many gallons are they? Worst case scenario if you have visitors and all tubs are used at the same time, can this happen at your house?

We also have three full bathrooms and we are heating 2900 square feet with seven zones. The boiler mate, zone 8, is more than sufficient. Consider a 40 gallon as being a normal 120 gallon. After 8 months of use we have never run out of hot water. Also make sure that the Boiler Mate has first call on getting heat and there should be no problems.

Q: The plumber installed CH-41Z BoilerMate water heater in Jan of 2011. Now my furnace doesn't shut off. I installed a new thermostat, but the furnace continues to run. Could it be the water heater??
