The AP917HD-S Replacement Cartridge for the AP904 series (AP902 & AP903) has been designed for heavy duty sediment reduction (5 micron nominal). At 10 gpm average fl ow rate, this product performs to 75% efficiency over its life (100,000 gallons) based on manufacturers test protocol for chlorine taste and odor. This cartridge also includes a scale inhibition media to help reduce the potential build-up of hardness scale in water heaters, pipes and water using appliances. 10 GPM Flow Rate. This product is not designed for potable water with precipitating iron, bacteria or chloramine present.

The best simple filter I have found.
I have had this installed for 8 months. I changed the filter after 6 months. It is very easy to change. I put a valve on each side and a vent to drain the pressure and more importantly to release the air as I am filling the new filter. Many people may get a year out of a filter but my water is not great. I did not notice my water getting bad at 6 months but wanted to see how the filter was at that time. I think I caught it just in time. I'll continue to change it at 6 months.

Good price; shipping is squirrelly
Good price, great product, but it was shipped in an awkward box with the padding all on one side of the product, so it arrived a bit damaged… this product is not supposed to make noise when shaken, so it had some internal damage I considered minor. When ordered directly from the manufacturer, the packing was more appropriate to the density and size of this filter (and no noise when shaken), but that costs $50-100 more, which I think I'll pay next time.

Aqua-Pure AP904 system
We have the Aqua-Pure AP904 Series whole house water filter system. Bought it to remove the mineral buildup as our area is known for 'hard' water. We have city water. System works great keeping the scale to a minimum. Like that the filter lasts for up to a year before changing.

Not as great as I had hoped
I've been a long time buyer of these 3M water filter cartridges and I decided to go for this higher end version. The cartridge fit fine but for the promise of better water filtration and calcium breakdown not sure it does anything more vs. the cheaper version. Next time I am going with the cheaper version.

This cartridge goes into my whole house water filtration system.
It does improve the water quality.
I also have a pre-filter and my refrigerator has a water filter so my water is drinkable tastewise.
Price goes up every month. Supplyhouse has the best price.

Good price, great product, but it was shipped in an awkward box with the padding all on one side of the product, so it arrived a bit damaged… this product is not supposed to make noise when shaken, so it had some internal damage I considered minor. When ordered directly from the manufacturer, the packing was more appropriate to the density and size of this filter (and no noise when shaken), but that costs $50-100 more, which I think I'll pay next time.
