It's a no brainer
Have 3 properties all with tankless heaters. Average20 grains hardness. Have had them installed on all heaters for going on 7 years. Others in area did not use them and have had to pay a professional to delime there tankless heaters. This is about a 5 to 600$ process, not to mention the downtime. Without hot water. Also all major mfg DO NOT WARRANTY, because of scaling damage to tankless heaters. The ap430 works flawlessly & is cheap insurance for your investment, install valves on either side to isolate , change on avg every 6 months. Easy Peasy. So I can remember to change I do it 4th July & Christmas.

Perhaps our water is too hard for this scale inhibitor. I haven't seen any improvement in water flow or mineral staining/accumulation around faucets.

It's worth the price
It's a little more money but better product for sure..well water heavy iron and calcium at time this filter cuts it down 70% by itself ..on demand hot water flushed every year very little build up in system ...would highly recommend ...

Needs frequent changing
These filters seem to work well and are easy to replace, but I often have to change them before the recommended 6 months is up (because they start to discolor the tap water). I'm assuming this is because there's a lot of minerals in the water where I live, so the filters have to work extra hard, but still, it's annoying to have to buy (and dispose of) more of these things. I especially wish there was a way to send the used cartridges back to the manufacturers for recycling, it seems so wasteful.
