The NeutraPal is ideal for neutralizing condensate from condensing boilers and furnaces operating on natural gas or propane. The condensate is acidic and has the potential to harm the environment and the sewer system. The NeutraPal will raise the pH of the condensate to a more neutral level before it is discharged to drain.

NeutralPal Condensate Neutralizer for residence use on Tankl
I am not a plumber but, was able to install unit to replace original neutralizer that came with tankless unit when that one was end of life. With unit installed, you can clean the clear bowl, refill with proper stones. Instead of buying neutralizer that came with unit. I like that you can see what is happening through the clear bowl. Mounted close to tankless unit and used 3/4" clear hose from tankless via barbed to neutralizer unit via barbed. Had to do again, would mount a bit farther away to reduce stress on the tankless unit where it drains. It sits 8-10" away. Suggest 12"+ or use 1/2" clear drain hose (less stress, more flexible)

Never again, bottom clear housing cracks, water damage
From 7/22/20 we installed 15 of them, so far I had a problem with 8 of them, the bottom clear housing just cracks with no reason. Company offer year of warranty but this usually happen just over a year but who is responsible for water damage ....plumber as always... Please think twice before you buy this product, first look good, easy media replacing system but cause a lot of problems later ........I am really NOT recommend this product

Great neutralizer!
Bought this to replace a generic unit my HVAC contractor installed and that was non-serviceable. I had limited space so the traditional tube style units would have meant I had more plumbing to do. This was a great solution and serviceable. The bowl is now made of a different, non-clear material so it doesn't crack like other reviews have seen. It's been installed for a few weeks and working perfectly. Glad to know I can replace the media and keep using the same unit for a long time to come. Everything seemed to be great quality and i am happy with my choice to replace my old unit with this.

I would recommend this
based on my current short experience with the neutralizer. I was worried about reviews with cracking issues so I called the company (in Canada). Had a good discussion with them about issues with their plastic formulation during COVID because of supply chain issues. That seems to be resolved so I ordered. So far so good. Many companies are using the same device rebranded so might as well buy from NeutraPal directly. I built a CPVC drain for my Navien tankless feeding into and out of this neutralizer. So far so good.

Caution
The clear plastic lower half keeps cracking and leakimg yearly. In a heated and insulation shop that always stays 65 degrees and warmer.
