Yes, this unit can be installed either horizontally or vertically.
Beacon Morris sells wall install unit for vertical installation. I installed mine in floor using their floor install unit. The heater in the floor unit sits horizontally but tilted back at about a 45 degree angle. Hope this helps
Yes. Look at the Beacon Morris site. They have both a wall surface and recessed mounting kits. The fan operates on > 140F water, so it may not work if you are using radiant floor heat. The heater uses a 1/2 inch connection, it may require a separate circuit to connect it if you are using 3/4 pipe for the other connection.
