I bought this pump and have used it for quite a while and have not noticed any abnormal electric use. I had the one you have and when they go bad they start drawing a lot more amperage which means higher electric bills. Sent from my iPad
Great replacement pump. Runs better than the original. Easy to install was an exact fit. "How is the efficiency of this unit? My old LR20BF is sucking a lot of juice these days. Looking for efficiency."
Yes the specs are identical for the distance from flange to flange and the electrical is identical. This is an exact replacement. Sent from my iPad
identical to the old style bell&gossett that you had to oil
The flange distances were fine, and I don't remember having to change anything with the wiring. Was awhile ago, and I don't live there any more. Good luck!
Yes it lined up perfectly. Sent from my iPad
Yes it is ! And this is the best deal I found ! Sent from my iPhone
Yes, this is the direct replacement for LR20BF circulators.
If your old pump is a LR20BF (not sure about LR208BF?), the LR-20 WR Little Red Pump flanges will match up. If your old pump is squealing, you can try oiling it with something like 3-IN-ONE oil. The LR20BF has an oil port with a plastic plug on top between the motor and pump sections. Pull out the plug add a dozen drops of oil. If you're lucky, this may be all you need to quiet your pump and keep it going until you're ready to replace it. The new pump doesn't require lubrication.
exact for LR20BF there was no 8 in my old pump
Kathy, I replaced my LR 20 BF pump with the LR 20 WR model and it's a perfect fit. Check your model number again because I could not reference the "208" number.. Hope this helps, Francis Sent from my iPad
I had the same pump and replaced it with the new style one. Everything fits the same and wiring and all fits exactly the same as the old one. It is just the newer style pump with the new number. I am a home owner and I replaced the pump myself. You will need to turn the system off and let the air pressure out of the air tank and shut off your water valves in the line. Put a bucket under the pump and some water will drain out,you don't need to worry about the lost water because when you turn the system back on the water lost will get replaced. Refill the air in the pressure tank to the specified pressure listed on the tank and you are ready to turn it back on. You should have a air valve to let air in the system blow out until water runs out. That should be it. Sent from my iPad
i replaced a lr20obf 106506-m78 and did not need anything works perfect Ed
Everything you need comes with the new pump. All you need to have are a few hand tools, wrenches and a screw driver. Hope this helps. Dennis "I have a B&G little red booster pump, LR-20, 106500-M48 model (it is leaking and needs replacement). Is your new unit LR-20 WR 106507 model replacing totally my present unit. That is, does this new model contain all parts needed to replace my current unit and/or do I need to buy any others accessory parts? Can a technically capable non-specialist replace my old LR-20 unit with a new one without too much trouble? Thanks you, Louis"
Yes I did this same thing as a direct replacement the way you describe. I haven't had any problems since i replaced the unit two years ago however I now wish I would have looked further and purchased a Grundfos unit -check the comparison chart and price a Grundfos unit out. I've since then purchased Grundfos pumps for other circulators and have been very happy with them -they seem to be more quiet and have a reputation for lasting a long time. A Grundfos pump would also work in a direct replacement manor as well.
You probably need to replace the whole unit, as, even if the cartridge is the only problem, replacement parts are not available for this pump.
It is normal for the pump to feel hot, but there is likely a problem if it is not pumping water.
The flanges will match. You do not need to get new ones.
Steve, I just replaced the same pump and the flanges matched perfectly right out of the box. Best of Luck!

Yes, that is possible--a good rule of thumb is that the fluid should never travel faster than 4 feet per second.
