It's good, but the brass adapter worked better.
This is a well made, quality product with one potential shortcoming. The threaded portion screws in too deeply into the stainless steel fitting for the water treatment portion of my tankless water heater system. This adapter will not tighten up before bottoming out, leaving a potential leak. This is likely a problem with the water treatment fitting rather than this adapter and I think this may not happen with other ittings. However the similar, but more expensive, brass press adapter sold by Supply House works perfectly, getting tight with plenty of thread depth remaining. I recommend the brass fitting over the copper.

This Bluefin fitting doesn't fit the bill.
This full copper fitting has less threads and won't make up properly regardless of sealant, tape or dope. In boxed quantity, go for the JW copper fitting or Viega if you can use bronze. Returning all that I didn't use before I waste any more of my time. Every one I've threaded into a brass female end, valve or flange or union, has leaked. Copper to copper seems okay, but how often does that occur.

Bluefin Copper Press Fittings Don't Seem To Insert Onto The Pipe As Far As Other Brands. Also The O Ring Isn't Factory Lubricated. Ive Used It With No Issues Tho. Works Fine For Boilers And Potable Water Applications. I Like That Their Threaded Fittings Come With A Plastic Thread Protector Cap.
