Unhappy with this product
These fittings have a 1/2" pipe thread machined into them. It has not been possible to seal the threads using recommended teflon tape in proper number of wraps as called for by manufacturer of two shower valves that these are being used for. It appears that the taper is wrong, too steep. Removing the fittings reveals that the last thread to engage has no teflon, with bright brass showing, while the first four threads have the teflon virtually undisturbed. I am having to remove all of these adapters and replace them with straight adapters from Supply House that I had left over from 2008. I must use an Aquapex elbow to complete each of the connections. I will be calling Supply House for a refund on these fittings.

Great product
Irrigating three acres in Texas near Houston pulling water from Lake Livingston using 2 Munro 2 hp sprinkler pumps, one main and one boost. Lift water 30 feet over a 650 foot distance generally in 2 inch mains. I use 2"x1/2" tees where I place Hunter sprinkler heads. The to provide flex I'm using PEX lines. System runs between 50 and 70 psi in operation 7 years. Adding a Rusco Spin Down filter this summer.

Great for a shower valves that come in female nip
A great little fitting that you normally do not find in your big box stores or even your local supply houses, definitely comes in clutch when you want to come out of your shower valve and offset directly out of your valve.
