Just used this running 1" PEX-b from my meter to the house. It made smooth, clean cuts. Clamped onto the NPSM fitting at the meter, and Sharkbite NPT adapter at the house. Just go slow and give it time to do the work. It has a wide enough U channel that holds the pipe square while you cut. I like how after you do a cut, the blade stays closed and guarded until you open it up for the next cut. Can't say how long it will last, hopefully my repiping adventures are over, but it performed solidly on that beast of 1" PEX.

Works okay but components wear quickly
I've had this for about three years. It's seen a single floor's worth of a pex install and some PVC and CPVC cuts. Less than a few hundred cuts total, mostly PEX.
I used this for a bunch of ½" and ¾" pex for a radiant install, which was fine. I also tried it out on some ½" and ¾" PVC and CPVC. It started having a bit of trouble with some 3/4" PEX cuts with the ratchet mechanism not working but I soldiered on. After I made some PVC cuts, it really started getting annoyed, so I took it apart and filed the worn ratchet mechanism a bit. That helped, but it still fails to ratchet properly, so I have to manually hold the knife to the work material at the toughest part of the cut. Fortunately, I've got pretty strong hands, otherwise I'd have had to throw it away a long time ago.
I wouldn't buy it again, but I'm making do for now. I think I'm going to buy a more expensive one now. The knife edge is still perfect and I haven't needed to sharpen it, but the metal used for the ratchet mechanism is too soft to make this a reliable tool I would not recommend it.

This PEX cutter is great for regular PEX not for PEX-AL-PEX
This cutter is rated for PEX AL PEX but using it deforms the Aluminum- the cut does not remain perfectly round due to the pressure needed to cut the pipe.

Nice cutter
Great product, works as intended and the spring return is a great feature. Plumber helping me liked it better than his cutter.

Great pair of little cutters! I'd buy them again for sure.
We use these at my shop and sell many to our customers. For the 3/4" and 1/2" pipes we sell they work great.
