14" x 6" Baseboard Register, 1/3" Series 1 (White)

I had been hunting for replacement baseboard registers and could not find the right size until I came upon the Supplyhouse.com website. The registers fit exactly and installed easily. The material and finish are sturdy and the cost was very reasonable. My only concern is that there is a solid metal piece covering the vent on the inside which can be opened/closed as needed. I have noticed that when opened it tends to bang a bit as we walk in the room. I am working on adjusting the vent louver to stop this and so far it seems to be ok.

On the surface, this register looked exactly like the one I was trying to replace in my 1958 built house. Unfortunately, the damper is one piece as opposed to one inch level dampers on the back of each slat on my original. The space cut out in my wall doesn't accomodate a completely open damper...I am only able to open the damper one inch. I'm going to see how I get by with that once heating season begins. Otherwise, I might try to cut off the damper. But I will use it somehow.
