with this you get an elbow and union in one fitting making cast iron baseboard removal/installation easy, no sweating or crimping just a crescent wrench. you will need an internal pipe wrench though, the nipple is too short to tighten from outside. don't know about the quality yet but no leaks under 40psi. hard to find locally and when i did it was close to twice the price of supply house.

Good, but not perfect
The only reason I deducted two stars is because the threads on the union connection are finer than typical. If you use the tail piece that comes with the ibnit this isn't a problem, but several of my old radiators have tail pieces that are frozen so solid, the lugs strip before breaking free. Wouldn't be a problem if the union threads were the same, but they're not.

Doesn't fit existing nipples
It is unfortunate that the manufacturer could not have chosen to match the thread of antique nipples from the radiators. I have bought Dan Foss valves and they simply screw right onto the existing nipples. With these union elbows you have to replace the nipple which is a HUGE job. I hope the mfg sees this and fixes there process and these would be worth gold.

I would definitely buy from Supply House again
Ordered a union for a cast iron radiator. Great price, extremely fast delivery. I had it in two days. Got it installed.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit, no leaks. Great for fixing up some very old radiators. Definitely recommend, just remember to use joint compound (pipe dope) to help with the seal.

Nice union for the money
I would give 5 stars if union threads were standard US, with this you must use as an assembly. Not interchangeable with existing coupler

Ok quality
Excepable, the one thing about it is the you can't use an existing spud in the radiator because the union has some strange Chinese thread. But it's fine as long as you use both pieces.
