Works as advertised
This thermostat was installed as a replacement item.The unit is easy to install for a long time home handyman. The temperature readout tracks accurately with a calibrated thermometer. The advanced settings were relatively easy to make. The setting I wanted was for temperature differential for heat cool on/off commands, and are available. The daily/weekend programming was easy to set up and works well. Setting the time is simple as that can be done using the DAY/TIME and RETURN buttons. DST is not programmed in, but is very easy to make using the same two buttons. All settings can be made with the unit off the base. Just plug it back onto the base when ready. The displayed items are comprehensive. This product is well thought out.

Good for the Price
Programming it is rough, but it's a good price for a standard thermostat. I basically just bought the same brand and product that I was replacing. I don't know how old the original one was, but our heater wasn't kicking on and replacing the thermostat fixed it.

Good basic programmable thermostat
I have 3 zones for heat. This thermostat has worked great to even and accurately set the temperature throughout the house. The only gripe is the wiring instructions are a bit unclear when going from an old thermostat to the new one.

Q: I currently have the braeburn 1020nc model is the 2020nc model interchangable? Meaning can I just pull off the 1020nc & attach the 2020nc to the same wall plate?
