water, maximizing the life of the tank, while minimizing the number of service calls. Constructed of the highest quality materials, including the Thermoglaze® coating on all the interior surfaces, Buderus tanks also have excellent insulation resulting in less than a 1/4°F loss of heat per hour. The larger surface area of the heat exchanger in a Buderus tank delivers excellent recovery rates.

Two Was Enough
I've now gone through 2 of these. The first one failed after 8 years when the tank rusted through. The second one failed after 7 years when the internal heat exchanger rusted through. This is just an expensive, poorly made product. Buderus lowered the warranty from 8 years to 6 years about 8 years ago. This time around I purchased a Lochinvar stainless steel tank with a lifetime warranty. The price of the tanks are comparable. Bosch Buderus support on the issue was worthless, not to mention a 2-month wait with no hot water.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe tank and heat exchanger are covered for replacement up to 8 years. For the 9th year and beyond they have a limited warranty on the heat exchanger where a percentage is paid by the purchaser.
