Buderus pioneered new methods of producing and storing domestic hot water, so you are assured of greater operating efficiencies, lower fuel consumption and consistent hot water, all while saving money.
Buderus' patented Thermoglaze® is a ceramic material which is thermally bonded to the internal components of the tank to provide a glass-like coating. This unique coating protects against the corrosive affects of minerals that naturally appear in water, maximizing the life of the tank, while minimizing the number of service calls. Constructed of the highest quality materials, including the Thermoglaze® coating on all the interior surfaces, Buderus tanks also have excellent insulation resulting in less than a ¼°F loss of heat per hour. The larger surface area of the heat exchanger in a Buderus tank delivers excellent recovery rates.
Buderus domestic hot water tanks offer features that provide for ease of installation, simple maintenance and reliable operation. All models are equipped with a magnesium anode rod for protection against corrosion, a P&T valve and drain for quick installation, and use adjustable screw-on feet for leveling. An easy-access cover aids in cleaning and maintaining the coil and tank interior. Standard on the S120, a Honeywell aquastat can be ordered separately for the other tanks.
Buderus domestic hot water tanks are designed with features that allow them to fit all needs. Short on space? The LT horizontal tanks are designed to fit under a Buderus boiler resulting in a smaller footprint. For domestic hot water priority add a Buderus Logamatic control. With this option, even on cold mornings when the boiler is working hard, you will always have plenty of hot water for showers. Equipped with a recirculation option Buderus tanks work more efficiently so that hot water is not wasted.

Compact, well made and efficient
I installed one of these indirect water heaters under a Buderous oil fired boiler. It will work with other brands of boilers too. It is compact, heats up quickly and is VERY well insulated. Buderous claims 1/4 degree heat loss per hour. In the summertime when there is no call for space heating and no hot water is being drawn, the burner will only fire for a minute or so every few hours to keep the hot water up to temp. This unit has a user replaceable magnesium anode and instructions on how to test it's efficiency once a year. The construction quality is second to none. This replaced a tankless water heater which was scalding hot for a minute before cooling down and then slowly warming up. When taking a shower it was necessary to keep adjusting the shower temperature. Lots of water was wasted during the"scalding" phase. It was not possible for two people to shower at the same time or to run the dishwasher or washing machine at the same time. The old tankless heater also made it necessary for the old boiler to maintain high temperatures which was a total waste of energy especially in summertime. With the Buderous hot water tank, the boiler only runs once in awhile and saves lots of energy. Two showers and a dishwasher or washing machine can now run concurrently. I am very happy with the Buderous.

Q: Is it possible to replace the heat exchange coil in this tank?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffNo, the coil is welded to the inside of the tank, and there is no access to the tank which would allow someone to take the coil out, without having to cut the tank open. So the whole heater would need to be replaced.

Q: This Product claims it can be used as a Base for your Boiler. Can this boiler be used as a base for say Buderus G215-3 model? I am unsure how much weight this is designed to hold.
