Love It!
Ordered Monday, arrived Tuesday, installed Wednesday morning. Replaced the 25 year old Honeywell L4103 on our Bock 51E. The L4103 still worked, but I've been upgrading most everything else between the the boiler and water heater. Having just updated the boiler aquastat with an electronic one, I had an itch to replace the water heater's with an electronic one as well. The EZ-TEMP is fabulous! Installation was straightforward. Most other current model water heater temperature controls only have two knockouts being modern/slim enclosures these days, but I'm currently using three knockouts. The EZ-TEMP provides six knockouts (1 top, 1 bottom and 2 on each side) so that worked well. Next, it provides real-time temperature readings. With the mechanical controls you see nothing. You set the dial to the temperature and hope it's all working. Now I can readily see current temperature, when the call for heat happens, when it turns off, and how much higher it drifts once the burner shuts off. It's like night and day compared to the L4103 and other mechanical controls. I have it coupled with a Resideo R7284U primary control and they play nicely with each other.
