COM6M Metal Supply & Exhaust Outdoor Hoods, 6" Duct (Pair)

Why are there no holes to screw this vent.

When purchasing Fantech Sku: Com6m it was recommending to use a backdraft damper on the exhaust hood in applications with discontinuous flow Sku RSK6. The diameters are exactly the same and if you crimp the end to fit in the damper then will not open, in doing this I damaged the hood beyond repair. A single hood option was not available so I had to order another 2 pack that one that arrived with one hood damaged, I had to install the other one due to schedule and couldn't return the other now I have 2 broken hoods that I can't return. Overall the aluminum is 2 thin and bends easily to failure. Would not recommend, i would use basic galvanized dryer vents in the future and remove the damper if needed. Customer service did help a little but they should probably look at the quality of the products they are selling to avoid mishapps like this one.

The quality seems good compared to other models. The stickers are quite annoying and hard to remove leaving residue. I will order again until I find better quality.

This was used just as it is designed. However, the hoods are not "louvered" as pictured. I also expected to see some sort of damper on these but they are not. I will have to use an in-line damper to keep unwanted air from blowing in. The only thing I liked about these is they are built to last - and as the description says - they are pre-painted aluminum.
