Good Fan

I used this fan to remove smoke from above a poker table in a finished basement for a customer. The fan itself was mounted in the unfinished side of the basement near the exterior wall/exhauset vent. I kept the fan as close the the exhaust as possible so that any leaks in the ductwork from the intake vent in the room up to the fan would suck in air, not blow smokey air our of them. I installed a 6" backdraft damper between the fan and the exhaust vent. The little flaps on the exterior vent hood blow open with strong wind. I also installed a 6" automatic fresh air damper to supply air to the room when this kicks on. The bracket that came with the fan makes mounting easy. The quick connect electrical terminals are nice also. Down side is that it hums a little when using it with a speed control. And the flange for connecting to the ductwork is a little narrow. Not much room to get a good overlap of foil tape on it and get screws in.

I would buy this again to exhaust a high volume area

Purchased this product to move hot air from one part of the cabin to another. While it does get warmer the combined flow and metal housing cools the air to rapidly. As an Exhaust fan, this would do an excellent job, but it is a little noisy.

Great product and service

Fantech fans are very good. Not only are they superior products in terms of design and build quality, but Fantech also publishes detailed specs on their performance. Fan performance curves are needed when designing a system to meet specific criteria. I appreciate their attention to all these details. I have to also credit SupplyHouse.com for their excellent service. I received my order within 2 days, which is phenomenal. Well done gentelmen.

Works great for increasing air flow on long duct runs

I have a couple very long runs in my AC system that were not getting enough air flow even with the less expensive inline duct fans installed. I removed the less expensive fans and installed this because it had a lot more CFM than the less expensive model. I also installed fan controllers so that I could control the fan speed if it was too much air flow. The setup works perfect and now those rooms with the long runs and these fans are as cool as the rest of the house.

Quality product. Quick delivery.

Appears to be well built. Using as a welding exhaust fan and has good suction. Definitely not your typical cheap exhaust fan. No vibration and quiet other than the air flow sound.

powerful and quiet

Fan meets my needs nicely. The mounting bracket though is difficult to install. Installation instructions for the bracket are vague. Mounting locations for the bracket should be marked by the manufacturer

As Advertised - happy customer!

No experience needed with HVAC to install. Works perfectly for the size of room we chose this for. Fan is quiet - the noise comes from the air being sucked up throw the vent. Our 100 CFM bathroom fan is louder.

Great Brand

I had a smaller unit in my basement. I used it for ventalation. It lasted 8 years 24/7. It still worked when I replaced it with this one. I expect no less from the new one.

Fantech Fan

As always, Fantech fans fit the bill. This one was used for a "Range Exhaust Fan" and works great!

No, it does not.

Q: WHAT IS THE SOUND LEVEL?

The fan was not tested for noise by the manufacturer, however being that the fan is installed remotely (in an attic), noise should not be a concern.
