Easily-fitted silencer for circular ducts, fitted with a connection which is compatible with a standard spiral
duct. The LD effectively reduces noise in the duct. Two silencers can be used together in installations where noise reduction is critical. For the most effective noise reduction, the silencer should be fitted immediately
behind a fan or bend.
This silencer worked exactly as advertised.
I paired it to an awoco RH-SP06-T which as an inline blower, it completely removed the echos while not sacrificing any performance. Well worth the price, we can now hear each other while my wife is cooking.

Pleasantly Surprised - silenced our ERV
New construction - ICF with all rigid metal ductwork, and a Panasonic ERV. The ERV is running 60 CFM intake and 50 CFM exhaust continuously. Tied in to air quality sensors to automatically trigger boost mode (100 CFM) when the AQI declines.
Everything works great, but the noise was a bit excessive due to the ERV fan noise reverberating through the metal ducts. On boost it was quite noisy.
I was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try (thought for sure this would end up being returned). After installing this muffler, the noise from boost mode is quieter than regular mode prior to install, and regular mode is nearly silent. Seriously impressed.
High quality construction and works great. I am a picky SOB and could not be happier.

Worked great
Silenced a noisy HRV unit. Huge difference. Put one on the exhaust air from house to the HRV unit and one for the fresh air from the HRV unit to the house. Easy to install.

Great Product!
This silencer does work, it probably drop it by 10 db or so. It make the annoying whooshing sound on the duct disappear, its a must for all metal duct run. The only downside is, it is rated up to 140F max, its big and its not that heavy as you imagine.

Worked ok
Placed inline just before the fan and about 10 feet from range hood. Reduced noise by 6-7 decibels which was really helpful, but not the 10 I was hoping for. Be aware these things are big (10" diameter" and heavy so will need some support.

We have made these a standard item on our production line
We have used these for years and have had great success damping the sound of up to 7.5HP blowers. The great thing about getting these from Supply House it the price and speed of shipping. I can get these quick elsewhere, but the cost is much higher. I can get these close to this price within 3 weeks other places, but Supply House is the Lowest price and I have them within 3 days. This has eliminated the need to stock these in our warehouse for the production of our Biomass Boiler systems. This set I bought is going to be floated 100+ miles down the Yukon River to heat a out lying river community in AK, and save them millions by burning local renewable wood chips, instead of diesel to heat their building in the AK winter.

Works well
Installed on a commercial garage vehicle exhaust extraction system. Lowered the levels on my noise meter from 71db to 65db but perhaps even more in certain tonal ranges where the sound was especially annoying. Neighbors much happier. No report on longevity so only 4 stars.

Cuts fan noise by more than half
I mounted my Fantech exhaust fan about 15 feet downstream from my range hood. Airflow was great, noise was less than the original hood maounted fan, but the wife still made a face when I switched on the fan. Installing this silencer brought a big smile to her face, and ensured the fan would now be used while she creates another coronary delight.
No, this product would not be rated for boiler flue usage.
