I bought 2 of these over 10 years ago. One I use on my dryer vent. I have to clean the lint a few times a year. When I failed to do so, it became so clogged that the fan locked up. After disassembly and cleaning, it worked as before. I have tried garden hose, pressure washer, etc.. for periodic cleaning, but find a Uline duster on a pole to be the simplest. I use the Fantec dryer pressure switch which has never failed. The second fan I use as a fart fan. I am 80 years old and really need it. It really sucks. Unfortunately, the exterior paint has peeled; still trying to figure out how to fix that problem with the least effort. I highly recommend this product.

Noisier than I would have liked...
Had to add a dimmer and three additional fans to properly pull the air from the indoor pool [so we don't get mold]. On the whole, they work and were easy to install... but at the end of the day, I wish I'd done more research.

Extremely Loud
Ordered a few to replace existing ones and quickly found out why they were disconnected. These type of fans are way too loud to put anywhere people will be. It's difficult to have a conversation in a room with the fan running.

Fan works perfectly. Has a lot of power to pulls cooking smells from the kitchen. I bought the recommended back draft damper and that works great too. Closes nicely to keep cold air out. The whole in my wall was already 6 inch so that's the size I bought for replacement. But if I had my choice it would be 4 inch hole with a 4 inch fan. The 6 inch fan works great but it is a little loud. Not unbearable but I'm sure the 4 inch would have been plenty
