Note: The "-UX" Model is made for heavy duty cast iron pipe connections.
Fernco Donuts are flexible PVC donut-shaped rings for the compression sealing of sewer pipe joints and DWV connections such as sockets, hubs, bells and spigots. They offer all of the properties necessary to create a strong, lasting joint.
Features:
- Sewer pipe companies do not manufacture their pipe to common dimensional standards. Instead, pipe is produced to the designs and dimensions best suited for each particular sewer system. Because of this, variations in dimensions of pipe bells, hubs and bores are simply too great to permit making a single universal connector.
- Fernco Donuts are available in hundreds of sizes and configurations for use with most brands and types of piping material.
- Made of elastomeric PVC, is corrosion proof and is unaffected by acid or alkali.

Fit right
I have older cast iron that is oversized. I hoped this would fit. Was a little loose when I put it into the hub. Snugged right up when I put the pvc inside. Water test good.

I would buy again, works great
I am remodeling my house and currently had cast iron pip from slab to roof. I removed all the cast iron that was above the slab and converted it to schedule 40 PVC pipe. I measured the inside hub of the cast iron and the outside diameter of the Schedule 40 pvc pipe and called Fernco and they pointed to this compression donut. it was easy to put in the donut, but trying to get the PVC pipe into the donut it was a snug fit and once I got the pvc in its not coming out.

Good quality. Correct fit is important.
Good quality. Worked just fine with a vintage (1886!) hub. Just get the right fit. The Fernco 22UX-205 version is about 3-3/32" O.D. The 22U version is about 3" O.D. If you can't get a good fit with this donut, go back to oakum and lead.

Fernco XH Compression Donut
Used this to connect 2-in PVC drain line into XH Cast Iron Wye. A breeze to install, just some dishwashing soap to lube the inside of the donut, and a 3-in wood mallet to drive the pipe until it bottomed into the Wye socket. Seals well, no seepage.
Special Kudos to SupplyHouse.com -- they had the XH donut in-stock (unlike others), and I had it via UPS within twenty (20) hours after placing the order.
