Not always the seal
These are real fluidmaster seals and not junk. But sometimes the ballcock assembly is just worn out from dirt in the valve, so even if you replace the seal, it may still leak. SO be prepared, try the seal seal first. You save time by not draining the toilet...

Fluidmaster could use better rubber
I ordered 2 two years ago, each seal lasted about a year. I appreciate having parts under $2 on hand. I ordered a Fluidmaster Pro seal for about $3 recently should this consumer grade seal break, why bother having a consumer grade packaging when pro parts are available? The rubber doesn't seem any better. I don't know how many times I can change before I break the plastic fill valve.

Fast, easy and inexpensive alternative to a new fill valve
Worked perfectly to repair our Fluidmaster toilet fill valve that was slow to fill after each flush. The replacement was very easy, inexpensive, and took only a few minutes without having to replace the entire fill valve.

Handy fix for Fluidmaster water supply
Supplyhouse had the part in stock at a good price, I bought extras. If your tank is filling slowly this is all you need. Turn off water, press down on top and rotate CCW a partial turn. The top comes off and the rubber valve piece is right there and easy to replace. Note orientation before removing the old one.
