Poor thread depth.
Flood risk in my opinion. Not enough thread depth on new Bosch dishwasher inlet. Only about 1.25 turns of tightening is permitted until washer starts to compress. Dishwasher inlets are plastic, if this fails its an expensive flood.
Ended up using Clothes Washer elbow and connecting brass adapter to go from male garden hose thread to 3/8" compression. The Clothes Washer Elbow engaged a good 3 turns.
