I spent time researching a EMC retrofit motor and this prodict came up quote often. Youtube videos were helpful to me to understand the installation before buying. The low level high efficiency operation works great to balance temperatures in the rooms. I have 2 furnaces in the house and have installed this motor in each. I am a homeowner and not an HVAC guy. It was eady to match the cfm flow to the original motor.

Set up took about 20 minutes and wiring was easy by following the instructions. No cap required. Can be used gor 120v or 220v. The constant fan, however is a little slow for my taste, so I use the lowest speed as constant fan. Motor is quiet, but do expect some sound as air being moved by the centrifugal fan will always be a little noisy. Ramps up and down slowly saving energy as no l.r.a are being drawn. I measured 2.7 amps on low speed. Fit perfectly in my ruud system. Comes with diode attached splitter so 1 speed can be used for two settings, ie low for heat and constant fan. Works good, would recommend.

Installing this motor completely solved my heating and cooling imbalance problems. The fan now runs all the time on ultra-low, and keeps all the rooms in the house the same temperature! It's quiet, efficient, and heavy duty, and easy to install once you understand it. There's a great youtube video that the company made for do-it-yourselfers. Don't forget the fan puller tool! It's a must-have. The only downside is I couldn't find an installer to install this! All the HVAC companies had heard of an ECM motor and wanted to sell me a new furnace to get this feature. So, I ended up installing this myself. It's fantastic! I also recommend the Honeywell Prestige Redlink thermostat with redlink gateway and remote indoor and outdoor temperature sensors. You can set it up to read the temps and average them in case you still have a hot or cold room.

Gentech had some great instructional video to help guide me through the install. I did require a new mounting bracket, but the instructional video made the install a breeze. Supper quiet motor on constant fan mode and no more banging noise at ac or heat calls.

This is the perfect upgrade for a PSC motor. I am an HVAC contractor and this is the best retro-fit kit I have used. There is about a 30-35% energy savings with this motor, very quiet, ramps up to speed very well! The only caution is to make sure that when replacing a factory Trane system PSC motor that uses a Resilient ring mount that you also order a universal "belly band" mount, the factory Trane mount will not work with this motor, otherwise, great motor!!
