Q: I am a DIYer and have these valves on my Grundfos recirculating pump system. How do you know the valve is shut off or open? Does it automatically shut off when you loosen/remove the union?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffYou would use a screwdriver on the slot screw on the sides of the valves. If the slot is facing parallel to the flow direction, it is open. Perpendicular should indicate shut.
