The Grundfos circulating pump is saving us lot of water by not having to wait for hot water in our bathrooms which are on the other side of the house as the hot water heater. The only complaint was the instructions were confusing for setting up the controls of the pump on the app. Once we figured it out it works great.

Easy to install. Done within an hour. We now have hot water at the furthest faucet instantly. Would definitely recommend this pump.

I own and operate a construction company. Had a large scale addition a few years back, so hot water had to travel quite far from water heater. Used to wait roughly 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Now the wait is about 7 seconds, no exaggeration. Wife and myself are very happy. It was also easy to install and app set up was easy too. Rarely am I this satisfied with products these days. I put the Grundfos ALPHA CS 15-55 in my own home to learn the product before offering it to customers. Best decision I've made in a while. As an Installer Clean, fast install. Pump mounts on the water heater's hot outlet with 3/4" NPT unions. Bypass valve goes under the farthest fixture connecting hot to cold. Watch the flow arrow. If you hit 1" piping or a side-tap config, plan for extra fittings and quote accordingly. First install took under an hour going slow. AUTOADAPT means the pump learns the system itself in 24 to 72 hours. No aquastat, no external timer, no return visits. The Grundfos GO app gives homeowners scheduling and diagnostics via Bluetooth, which kills "is it working?" callbacks. FLOWSENSE protects older copper from pinhole leaks. High-margin, low-callback work. As a Homeowner Went from 90 seconds of wasted water to under 8 seconds at my farthest fixture. Dead quiet, barely registers on the electric bill, and the stainless steel housing gives me confidence on the potable water side. My family noticed the difference day one and then forgot it was even there. Exactly what you want. Easy upsell that makes customers genuinely happy. Hard to beat.

We were having issues with getting hot water in our upstairs bathrooms which is the furthest run from the hot water heater. After installing the Grundfos Alpha CS unit, we now have hot water rather quickly. The installation can be a DIY project if you know how to solder, etc. I had to cut the 3/4" hot side pipe and solder on a threaded coupling. Once installed it does take a little time to set up as the directions are not the best. Download the app and use the step by step set up. If you have several locations that need hot water and are on different legs/runs then you will need to install other control valves (the part that connects to the sink) and purchase those as well. Our gas hot water heater is now running more often as the cold water is being circulated into the heater. But it is a tradeoff... waste water waiting for hot water or have the hot water heater run some...

When we moved into our new home in Surprise, AZ we noticed we had to wait 1 minute & 40 seconds to deliver hot water to the shower in the master bathroom. In Arizona water conservation is always top of mind and research indicated we could save 12,000 gallons of water annually be installing a hot water recirculating system. The Grundfos ALPHA Comfort was an easy install; it took our local plumber approximately 1/2 hour to get this system installed and cost was well under $1000. Now with the ALPHA Comfort we enjoy the convenience of immediate hot water while also reducing our water consumption.

This Pump is a Total Game-Changer! (Bye-Bye Wait Time) Okay, so I moved into my new townhome, and it was mostly amazing, but the hot water situation drove me absolutely nuts! I'd been spoiled rotten for over a decade in my old place—my builder had installed a return line and pump setup, meaning hot water was always there. In this new place? I was staring at the faucet for a ridiculous 45 seconds just for the master bath to heat up. Seriously, every morning was frustrating. I needed a fix, but no way was I tearing out drywall for a dedicated return line. Total nightmare. So, I looked into the Grundfos Alpha CS. This thing is the perfect answer for tanked (or tankless) water heaters when you don't have that extra return pipe! Seriously Simple Install I stuck the Alpha CS right onto the hot outlet of the water heater. The installation was way easier than I expected, even though my house is weird and has three separate hot lines (master, kitchen, upstairs bedroom). Just a quick thermostatic valve under each sink and BAM! Hot water is instant, everywhere. The Grundfos GO app guided me through everything—super modern and zero fuss. I set up the timer (6-10 am and 4-10 pm) to match when we actually use water, which feels great for saving energy. The Best Part: Zero Regrets The wait time is completely gone, which is the main victory. I get hot water at every single faucet, just like I was used to. That daily frustration of waiting and wasting water is completely gone. But here's a big win: I used to worry about lukewarm water creeping into the cold taps (a problem with those old systems), but the Alpha CS keeps my cold water seriously cold. Bleed-over is almost zero. This pump is a phenomenal investment. It gave me a luxury comfort feature—instant hot water—without the cost and chaos of a major plumbing renovation. It's the best purchase for the house this year, hands down. And hey, feeling great about the thousands of gallons of water I'm saving is a bonus

I installed this pump just before Christmas and started using it on January 1st. Since then, it's been running every day for ten months and it's been fantastic. At first, I used the 5-minutes-on / 15-minutes-off setting, which worked great. Just recently, I switched to AutoAdapt, which automatically turns the pump off when it doesn't need to run. Basically, if it only takes three minutes to get hot water everywhere, it stops, saving energy and reducing the bit of warm water that used to creep into the cold line. I'm watching it over the next couple of months to see how much further efficiency and comfort improve. Even though it's been powered on 24/7 since January, the pump itself has only run about 16% of the time around 50 days total and has used just 21.5 kWh, or under $5 for the whole year. That's pretty incredible. My house has three branches off the water heater, each with its own Comfort Valve at the furthest fixtures. All three deliver near-instant hot water now. The valve closest to the pump has about 6–8 seconds of mild warmth on the cold side, while the two furthest valves are down to just 3–4 seconds. Compared to the old system, that's a massive improvement, probably 70-80% less bleed-over, and barely noticeable. I'll see if that gets even less now the system is in AutoAdapt. If you have the old Comfort System, I'd absolutely recommend upgrading when the time comes. And if you don't have any instant hot water setup, this one's a no-brainer. It's quiet, efficient, and makes daily life a little easier, for less than the cost of a cup of coffee to run all year.
