Yes it fit!
Model HM509W1005....My old tank was very discolored from heat and also the gasket needed to be replaced. However you can no longer buy the gasket by itself. So I decided to get the new tank w/gasket. The new tank is black vs grey so I assume some improvement in actual material. The gasket is also more like a neoprene o-ring but is not solid so compresses easily, so much better and will last. There was some question as to whether it would fit as my unit was from 2011 as website stated fits 2012 & newer. Read in another review that another user contacted Honeywell and they assured him it would fit. SupplyHouse contact put in notes our discussion/concern and it least agreed to allow return (at no charge) if it did not fit. If fit just fine. So see how it holds up going forward.

Not so much about the tank
I'm not a fan of the TrueSTEAM humidifier system. It's high maintenance, parts are getting scarcer, it can't keep-up during a Colorado winter, requires monthly attention, and my electric company should be giving me a participation bonus just for for the extra money it costs to run the thing. The tank and sensors should be life of the humidifier components, but they aren't. However, SupplyHouse rocks! They always have the part or have one on its way and shipping is fast! When SupplyHouse no longer stocks parts of this thing, it gets replaced in a heartbeat. SupplyHouse is highly recommended. Honeywell TrueSTEAM system - not at all.

Sorry but this item is not properly made. The part were the water comes out is too long compared to the original product and does not lock in properly and the water just leaks out when filling up the tank. Very disappointed.

Second time I've bought one from here and will do it again!
I have two of the Honeywell humidifiers and have had to replace the tanks on both. The replacements from SupplyHouse have been perfect fits and so far are doing great.

Our water tank cracked in two places this year. We appreciate the help from Supply House in choosing this replacement. There is a note on the product page about the replacement possibly not fitting older Truesteam units made prior to 2012. Ours was manufactured prior to the date 2011 and we worried, but this product fit well.

Hard to Find
This is a relatively hard to find part but Supply House has been my go to for such things. Fast delivery enabled us to get the humidifier back on line during the cold, dry winter months.

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse Staffdepends on the manufacture date of your unit. after 2012 this take will work, HM506 humidifiers prior to 2012 there is no replacement tank.

That is correct - it is the black tank with the rubber gasket. It fits on the unit with no problem (even if you had the grey tank before).

Not sure, it looks just like the one attached to my unit. These don't last very long, I had to replace mine because small cracks developed along with a water sensor.

I don't know exactly. However, I do know that this bucket fits my old (first generation) Honeywell 12 gal humidifier. I believe the openings on all models are the same dimensions if you are looking to put a bigger tank on a smaller model
