Very accurate, Great for a radiant heat system

I set this up with the matching three way mixing valve on a radiant heating system. They replaced a 20 year old manual three way adjustment valve. Install was straight forward, however the metal band to hold the probe was poor. I made my own using a better quality clamp. Temp settings are dead on accurate.

Excellant Mixing Valve Value

Great product for cost with sufficient CV rating for larger projects. Must be used with the Honeywell T 100 Actuator for consistent temp control. Very simple but effective unit.

Product Q&A

2 Questions

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Will the capillary bulb be damaged by prolonged exposure to 180 deg-F temperature? I want the mixing valve to be fully open at 140 degrees as the system warms up, but normal operations will be in the 160 to 180 range. If it will be damaged, is there a compatible unit that has a higher temperature range?

No it will not be damaged, the temperature range that's stated is the flow temperature mixed. These thermostatic bulbs r rated for high temp like steam and reduce the temperature according to necessity. Some of these have been in use where I service boilers for many years without fail. We have uploaded the manual that is included with the product ( http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1302268701663/52984_PROD_FILE.pdf ). These valves do not require any electricity.
