Works Great
Original thermostat in hallway did not keep good temp in our bedroom so installed this unit to try using a remote in our room to control it at night. Works well so am now buying another one since our main thermostat is also in a hallway and does not keep consistent temp in great room. Easy installation once I figured out that the 4 digit code they give you is the code you enter when you go to the "Installer Options" screen which you need to do to synch the remote to the main unit. The instructions did not advise on this that i could find.

Q: Does this thermostat require the redlink internet gateway in order for the portable comfort system to work appropriately?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe internet gateway would only be needed if there was a need to adjust the thermostats remotely from a computer or phone. The wireless system would function and be complete without the gateway, it is just an optional accessory for remote access with use of the internet.
