Most economic way to get a quality wi-fi stat. Does everything the common homeowner needs without the big ticket cost of something like a Nest.

Great System
I recently built a second home and use 4 of these thermostats to control 4 zones. I have a hydro air Burnham boiler with an integrated a/c system. There are air handlers in the basement and attic. I use a 5th thermostat to monitor the temperature in the attic since there is a hot water coil and we have cold winters.
Our hot water comes off the boiler with a 80 gallon Superstore tank. As this is a seasonal property we keep the home temperature lower when we are there. I looked for a solution to turn the hot water off and on remotely without success. I figured out a way to use a 6th thermostat to control the 24 volt hot lead to the aquastat on the Superstore. I can now turn the hot water off and on remotely.

This thermostat is our Middle Tier product in our WiFi line.
Most of our customers that use this product are "SnowBirds" and they just want to be reassured that their pipes won't freeze in winter, so they check in to their home thermostats while staying in their winter habitats aka Florida.

One word: awesome. Took 10 minutes to wire, about 20 minutes on the WiFi to set up. Can now adjust thermostat of second home in Florida from anywhere in the world. Honeywell is top drawer.

Excellent Thermostat
Great way to control your thermostats from another location. Saved me so much trouble with our rental property, I just bought 2 more for my home.
Its great to be able to do this remotely. Set up for WIFI takes a little practice but it really works.

My first choice in thermostats
Honeywell thermostats are still the best in the industry imo. Don't confuse this with the similar thermostats that you find in the big box stores. It is better built and more reliable. These are built for techs in the industry to install but are straight forward and simple to program, if you have knowledge of your system, and use.

I needed this for a rental house so I can limit how high or low the temperature can be set and to check on the settings when no one is there. This fits the bill perfectly. Installation took a little time but went as expected. I now have peace of mind at a reasonable cost.

Q: Does this unit work with the Honeywell Personal Comfort Station device. model REM5000R1001. I need something does not require internet but can communicate via Redlink so that an old lady can change temperature from bedroom and not have to go upstairs where the thermostat is. I hopet that makes since. thanks.

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse StaffThis unit has specific functions that it is in the WIFI setup, and is done thru Honeywell's Total Connect Comfort site and app, the User Manual can be viewed here: http://s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Honeywell-TH6320WF-Manual.pdf There does not seem to be a low temp alert function listed, but there may be more functions to look at with the app on your smartphone.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffWi-Fi units do not require the internet gateway, they connect directly to your wireless router. They are hardwired and not compatible with other Redlink accessories, however.
