BlueLink Smart Wi-Fi Universal Programmable Thermostat (3 Heat/2 Cool)

It is doing the job we bought it for! However, after a recent electric outage, we had to wait a couple of days for the thermostat to 'reset' itself! (Is that possible?) We did hire a professional HVAC tech to install & program the unit ($200). We gave him the 'Nest' non-programmable controller he had previously installed as a souvenir!

Haven't tried the geofencing yet, but everything else works. I especially like the adjustable swing as most thermostats these days don't have it.

Nice thermostat for this price point. Easy to install and program, especially with the phone app. Only complaint is the LED screen could be brighter and not time out so fast while programming.

I've had 3 other programmable thermostats, but this one is definitely the best. It's intuitive and easy to operate without digging out the instruction manual. The unit is highly configurable so you'll want to carefully go through the manual when it's initially set up. Mine had a small issue with DST when I installed it, and Braeburn's tech support was very impressive. There are too many features to mention, and the only one I found somewhat lacking was the usage report available through the phone app. That's nitpicking though.

Handles 2-2 Trane Heat Pumps, unlike the Market leading brand. Easy to install. WiFi setup could be a little easier, you need to do it from cellphone. App and computer based web page simple but works. Homeowner installed so that may invalidate warranty.

As a contractor I was looking for a Wi-Fi thermostat at a better price point for my clients. I looked at Braeburn and I must say it is a good lower priced very functional thermostat. There are a couple of things that I am hoping they can fix though. The geofencing feature does not work if there are multiple mobile devices in the house. It looks as if one device controls the home/away feature and if one person is outside the fence and another person is at home it still goes to the away mode even if both devices are set up with the app. and are designated as geofence devices. I would like to see the thermostat measure and display indoor humidity without needing the additional sensor, I would and I think my clients would pay extra for that feature. I would like to see a little more responsive touch screen as well, you really need to make sure that you press harder on the screen to change settings. The fact that this thermostat has wireless room sensors and outdoor air temperature sensors available at its price point puts it above the similar Honeywell models, overall good solid thermostat.
