–
- Opening the 3rd port does not cause any of the other ports to close
- On-off and diverting line voltage valves consist of an actuator motor and valve assembly for controlling the flow of hot or chilled water.
- Manual opener (on all models, except straight-through, normally open valves) for valve operation on power failure; valve returns to automatic position when power is restored.
- All models may be installed without disassembling the valve.
- Compact construction for easy installation.
- Complete powerhead may be removed or replaced without breaking plumbing line connections or draining the system.
- Actuator motor may be replaced without removing the valve body or draining the system.

Good price, but beware of flow pattern
This valve does not operate like a 3 way ball valve, it is just like a standard Honeywell 2 way valve, but with the addition of an open branch. The valve is always open between the branch (AB port) abd the B (run) port, the operator just opens & closes the A port, the B port never closes. To be as clear as possible (because the manual is not) the 2 position are:
1) AB to B open, A closed
2) All ports open to each other
If that is what you need then this valve is a great deal, but if you are expecting a valve that is truly divirting, i.e. flow to EITHER A OR B, get the Taco 3-way sentry e-smart valve.
