15" Quick-Change Multi-Jaw (3/8"-1") Pex Crimp-All Tool Kit w/ Plastic Case

I replaced all polybutylene piping above the slab in my early 90s 2 story home. After opening the walls, to plan for the order, I prepped will waiting for the parts. On the work day, I was able to shut off the water, remove old pipe, and install all new PEX with this tool in one 10 hour day. Gives a good solid feel when closed, test gauge passed every crimp on the first try, never over crimped either. Not a single leaking connection on entire job when water was turned on. Sometimes the crimping bits do come loose, but not while in use, more often when you set the tool down hard. Bits are trivial to swap, and color coded. It is bulky under cabinets and in rafters when close to HVAC area, but with planning this is not an issue. Often I crimped sections before feeding into tight locations. Only one time in a really tight corner did I have to use a sharkbite 90 when there was just no room. I got estimates north of $3500 to do the work. I placed my entire order including this tool with SupplyHouse and did it myself ALL in (even 1 extra hardware store run) for less than $700. Don't be afraid to use this tool, it will do the job.

The tool I bought had trouble the dies fell out real easy and finally the push button fell apart and the snap ring came off and I Couldn't keep the die in the 15"Quick-Change Multi-Jaw(3/8-1") Pex Crimp-All Tool Kit w/Plastic Case. It needs a better way to hold the dies in so they don't fall out because they can get lost real easy. I spent 2 hours looking for one die that fell out. They don't give you a parts list where you could get parts to fix the tool with.
