Misleading guarantee...
Seems to be a fine product from ICM. Have used other of their products over the years. Bought this protector because it was touted to have an "insurance policy" to help pay for the items downstream, so to speak. Read the guarantee. It has a limit of $1000 per item. AND it does not pay in my case where I have a $1000 deductible on my homeowner's. I bought this to protect my new mini-split heat pump.

Installed to protect mini-split. I replaced the close nipple with an offset conduit for easier connection to the disconnect.

The cost of mini splits too install and the cucuit boards that are sensitive too power surges. We install these surge protectors on all our installations. We have never had an issue.

works as designed so far
purchased for supporting sensitive Heat pump and condensor (2 units on supply side). Lost power a couple of times due to storms and it comes back on, was afraid it would be too sensitive and blow out. seems good still. only been in a couple of weeks and the systems are humming along.

Great Product - Super Service
These surge arrestors have good energy absorption capacity and are easy to install in most power panels. I've installed them in several panels and bought a couple for back-up should they be called upon to do their job.
Ordering from Supply house was straight forward and delivery is incredibly fast.
