Note: A TSI36 Insert is required for heating applications (and recommended for plumbing applications) when making a connection to PEX (an insert is required for each end of the fitting being connected to PEX). This insert is sold separately.
Note 2: Speedfit fittings cannot be used on stainless steel pipe.
DO NOT USE FOR gas, fuel oil or compressed air applications.
John Guest Speedfit Push-to-Connect Couplers are the easiest and most dependable way to join Copper, PEX, or CPVC pipe in any combination with no solder, glue, or tools required. JG Speedfit fittings use a collet with stainless steel teeth that grips the pipe when fully inserted, and an EPDM O-Ring to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal. When twisted into place, the locking cap locks the pipe in place ensuring maximum security. Disconnection is just as easy with no tools needed; simply twist the cap counterclockwise to unlock then depress collet against the fitting to remove the pipe. JG Speedfit Twist-to-Lock fittings are suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications. Code approved for behind-the-wall installations. 25-Years warranty.

My favorite by far
These Twist and Lock Speedfit fittings are the best I have used. I have been using a lot of them lately and do not want to go back to other brands. The fact that you can easily take them apart and remove them so simply is a big plus. I have yet to have a problem with them. They have a good selection here at Supply House and I have tried many of them.

I like these beter than Shark Bites.
My go to. I love these, you can take them apart and remove them from pipes easily. I have been using these for both hot and cold. I use the inserts for pex. I can not express how great these work. Because they are so easy to remove, I like these better than Shark Bites. I can also take them apart and make sure that they are fully seated. I wish they were easier to find on this web site. I ran into them by accident and have to go back to my past orders to find them.

Great for splitting downspouts for replacement!
These are the handiest of the removable type fitting as it is a twist lock design. I use these regularly on boiler and water heater downspouts after replacement of the relief valve. You can cut the downspout and just twist-lock it back in place, for those spaces where you cannot remove the downspout in one piece. Makes any future replacement a snap, too!

Don't Be Afraid Of These.
What's great about these John Guest plastic fittings is that they work as good as the Sharkbite brass fittings, I have used both. I have used these on domestic cold and hot water lines w/o any problems. The one thing I can't tell you is how long they last - time will tell. Don't forget to get plastic pipe inserts when you install these on pex tubing.
