2" Foam Insulation Tape, 75'

I wrote a glowing review before I actually used this stuff based on previous experience. The adhesive is different and doesn't work! Initially the tape sticks but then the adhesive slowly lets go over a period of several hours to the point where the tape completely comes loose. I am using it as I did before, on K-Flex Titan insulation. Previous batches of tape were amazing. This stuff is terrible and now some of it is buried behind a wall. Luckily I did the critical joints with an older roll. I wrote K-Flex to complain. Pictures show it pulled loose.

This tape is specifically for polyolefin jacketed Titan insulation and the only thing that will work in joining lengths of it together. It is a bit spendy for general use but works well joining foam insulation. It is sticky and compliant and the fiber mesh imbedded in it makes it strong.

This is the only tape that I trust for joining lengths of Titan insulation. It is conformable to the dips in Titan, sticks like crazy, and is fiber reinforced. While a little spendy, it is well worth the cost. Titan jacket material is polyolefin of some sort, very low surface energy which is notoriously hard to bond to. Even using adhesion promoter and acrylic adhesive seaming tape is a poor alternative. While appearing to work at first, the seaming tape eventually lets go. Do yourself a giant favor if using Titan (which is awesome insulation) and get this tape! (I was not paid to say this.)
