10-5/8" Double Inlet Blower Wheel with Direct Drive, 1750 RPM (1/2" Bore)

It took me a while to measure the old blower wheel (and learn where all the measurements needed to be taken) and choose a replacement. But this was the replacement and it works perfectly. Very high quality. Unsurprisingly, I needed a hub puller to get the old blower wheel off, even after using penetrating oil and polishing the drive shaft. Otherwise, easy install and perfect repair.

The blower in a friend's air handler was making a clunking sound and producing little air. HVAC company wanted to replace the air handler, which effectively meant replacing the whole system--furnace, air conditioner, and air handler. This would have cost many thousands, and these friends were just about to sell the house. I was pretty sure I found find the source of the clunking noise and low air flow, and fix them. Took the blower apart and found that the blower wheel had rusted off its hub. After making careful measurements of the old blower wheel, and checking things like "clockwise or counterclockwise" and "hub mounted on convex or concave side of divider", I ordered this item I've purchased from SupplyHouse before, and as usual, delivery was quick, the price was fair, and I received exactly what I expected to receive. Great! New part was a near exact match for old. Installation was pretty easy. (Did need to borrow a gear puller to get the old hub off the motor's drive shaft. Put the air handler back together, and the whole system works like a charm. Win! So yes, I was pleased with this product, and SupplyHouse in general. Just make sure you take careful measurements of the blower wheel you need to replace, and choose something that matches--there a ton of choices out there. I spent about $125 to save about $15,000. Replaced my old squirrel cage that has a bent collar and blower is now almost completely silent.

Installed on a 1994 goodman gmn100-4 to replace the stock wheel where the blades were walking 1/8" back and forth. It's so quiet I can't hear the blower fan over the furnace exhaust fan! I decided to go with Lau over the factory Goodman replacement as the Lau has Preslok which looks like extra wavy crimps to keep the blades from walking. So hopefully it will stay quiet and robust and last for years to come. I read that they are typically balanced better too. I took my old wheel off and matched up with the Lau catalog .pdf for the D, L, hub size, rotation and concave/convex and it matches perfectly. Called 10x10 but really 10 5/8 x 10 5/8. If your factory fan is 1/8" difference it will work (mine was 10.5 diameter) as there is usually plenty of clearance in the housing and measurements are nominal. Supply house comes through again for my plumbing and now HVAC needs!!
