Designed for use on a plywood sub floor in conjunction with Malco PWS1 PEX to Wood Stapler
Staples feature two .083 x 3/4" ring-shank stainless steel nails for superior pull strength in a wooden sub-floor. Other staples for PEX to wood applications have a taller profile that requires more thin-set concrete to cover PEX layout.
These 1-1/16" staples should be used to secure 3/8" & 1/2" PEX layouts to a 3/4" wooden sub-floor.

Bad quality and too expensive
Only tie down that has a low profile to staple down the pex to subfloor, issues are nails are too short, which doesn't hold down the pex to subfloor and the plastic hold downs are too brittle, breaks too easily

If only there was another choice
These staples are an 1/8 of am inch to short. They work but come out way to easily. The plastic version that you use in styrofoam work great but I had several hundred of these come loose. Also they sometimes get cockeyed in the gun and before you know it you puncture your PEX with the staple. I had to repair PEX in 5 places because of it. :(

Avoid this product
I bought the Malco PWS1 PEX to Wood/Foam board stapler specifically matched to these staples. The stapler works great with FBSN2 staples for foam board, but these PWS2 staples break, bend, puncture the tubing etc, when attempting to staple PEX to plywood. Approximately 25% breakage and 5 puncture incidents later, I switched to crawling on the floor with a hammer and Sioux Chief brand talon staples. I'm glad I spent the extra money on quality knee pads. Looked like a great tool to save time and effort, but in practice, it was exactly the opposite. If there was a star rating less than 1, I would give it that. If Malco could fix the staples, it would be an awesome product.

These didn't work very well for me. They said there for 3/8-5/8" tubing. We were using 5/8" and the nails were too short
