Okay but don't use with laundry discharge!
Fits old thick porcelain laundry sink but beware, the basket also acts as a stopper if it's pushed down. First time we ran laundry, sink overflowed and flooded our basement because the basket got pushed down and the sink overflowed.

Quality product
The deep sink strainer was needed for a cast iron laundry sink so there would be enough threads exposed to attach the tailpiece. The stainless steel material used should last for many years.

Solved a problem for me.
I used this in an old laundry sink with a 2 inch drain opening. This sink is one inch thick and the other strainers I found could not accommodate the thickness. This strainer fixed the problem for me. So it's a keeper. I bought another strainer for the other sink.
