With technology installed in over 100,000 applications, iWave-R is the world’s first self-cleaning, no maintenance needlepoint bi-polar ionization generator designed specifically for treating air in residential duct A/C systems. As the air flows past the iWave-R, positive and negative ions actively purify the supply air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. The ionization process also reduces allergens, smoke and static electricity, as well as controlling odors (cooking, pet, VOCs) and other particles (no more sunbeams) in the air without creating ozone or any harmful byproducts.
iWave-R treats the air in any brand of residential duct air conditioning systems up to 6 tons (2400 CFM) in size with no maintenance and no replacement parts. Designed for universal mounting, the iWave-R typically requires only 15 minutes to install inside or outside of duct, or to attach magnetically near the indoor fan in the air handler. Simply connect to power using its patent-pending voltage input capability. Install between air filter and cooling coil to treat the indoor coil; as an alternative, the iWave-R can be installed in the supply air. iWave-R always works at peak performance, producing over 160 million ions/cc, more than any other ionizer product on the market. Its patent-pending self-cleaning design includes a programmable cleaning cycle that can clean the emitter brushes every 1, 3, 5 or 10 days. Installed two into my own home
I researched these for a while and, at the price, thought it was worth trying. I have used UV air scrubbers in the past but in my current house they did not seem to be as effective, for whatever reason. I installed one of the iWave R's in the downstairs furnace that handles the bulk of the heating for our house in the wintertime and it seemed to be working some, but then realized that air wasn't covering the bedrooms where we all spend at least 6-8 hours a day, so I installed a second unit in my attic handler. I do feel like I can breathe a little better in my own home, and that's something as a lifelong allergy sufferer who's used to always being at least a little congested. It's only been a couple of weeks on the second unit, but I am optimistic.

Easy Install Good Instructions for DIY. Allergies improved.
Product arrived quickly, packaged nicely. Install was quick once I figured where to land wires on my board to allow for the unit to only be powered when the fan turns on. I used the 120VAC supply from the board choosing against the 24V supply as others recommended against. My allergies seem better since install I haven't gotten sick from a flare up. Smell in the house maybe improved not sure. I do want to wire a status light to the dry contact to verify operation of the device as once you install it inside the AHU housing you can't see it anymore.

A noticeable difference! Highly recommend.
I am an allergy sufferer and always looking for something to lessen the allergy triggers. After seeing the I wave-R advertisement, I did a lot of reading about it. I read many reviews from many different places and felt that it was definitely worth a try. The unit was simple to install with options of installation. After initial startup, and running the blower as recommended, I noticed that my nose was not stuffy when waking up in the morning and breathing seemed better, and dust not building up on furniture as fast. YES, I RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY!

Very impressive!
After install, within a couple of days most, if not all odors have been eliminated.
I did run the fan full time for 3 days, after which I put it back on auto.
Also seems to be less dust in the air.
Very impressive.
Would highly recommend this product.
