The heat exchanger in this unit is impressive. There is a very minimal temperature difference with the fresh air coming in and the stale air venting out. This is a must have unit if you have sealed your house with spray foal insulation.

First one arrived with a bad motor but supply house had another one out to me in a few days and paid all shipping. Second unit works very well and is quieter than I expected. Moves a lot of air and does a great job on my 2000 sq ft house.

This device definitely improves life quality inside a house. A very well insulated house with great windows and doors, definitely needs one of these. I wish there was a way to attach something to it or to directly operated from a distance, over an app. I haven't found yet online any remote control wired or wireless. I wish I can reach this erv from a distance and operated as a please without having to climb in the attic where I installed it. I have a remote control outlet which switch is power on and off from a distance. But I wish I could increase the speed of the fan remotely. Still a great product. Appliance.

Absolutely one of the best ERV's out there. I am the retired Mng Ed. of "Energy", "Energy Conservation News" and on and on and have recently researched every single ERV out there (see and use HVI rankings; you will see Panasonic in the top tier) simply to find one for my home. I bought this ERV to assist in mitigating a radon issue in my 1,500 s.f. basement. This ERV is well designed, extremely efficient (to confirm claims, I measured both power used at all CFM outputs and temp. inputs/outputs) and I can find no flaws except for a minor issue with the black plastic return air filter and case slot which needs tweaking (basically, the RA filter needs to be carefully positioned in case slot; otherwise can get caught in door; no big deal, just be mindful of that). My radon level plummeted after I installed this with the interior supply and return separated by about 35 feet and moving 75 CFM in and about 60 CFM out (i.e., slight pressurization as is usually recommended). I'll probably another one of this exact model just for the main floor. 100 CFM is plenty for a 1,500 s.f. house but you might need two if you really want to ventilate BOTH a basement and the main (ranch) floor, especially if you have ANY radon in the basement. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made; I regret not buying it 10 or 15 years ago but I suppose they have only recently become really effective. Can't recommend it enough. Also, VERY happy that it arrived without shipping damage and very happy with staff at Supply House who entertained all the pre and post sale questions. THANK YOU...one happy customer!
