Startup is Odd but Performs as Expected
This is our sixth or seventh Panasonic fan purchase in the past decade. We have generally been very happy with this brand as it offers powerful performance without all of the noise. This fan has the delayed start, which can be confusing and mistaken for a broken fan to those who are not familiar with the intentional delay. Unlike the last few we've installed that have the delayed start feature (I call it a 'slow start' feature), this one barely starts going only to momentarily wind back down and up and down again before going up to full speed. We have the fan set to the strongest setting. I almost wonder if it is defective as none of the others we own ramp up and down and up and down before fully starting up. The initial fluctuation happens at a very low and quiet speed. I doubt the average person would notice but my husband and I do because we know the delayed start is more delayed than we are used to by experience.

Great product
We have now installed 5 Panasonic bathroom fans in 5 separate bathrooms. All great and reasonably quiet. This one is especially good as it has high CFM (150). The only thing I don't like is the soft start feature. The fan can take around 15 seconds to get to full speed.
