Finally a nipple extractor that works
I have tried other styles of nipple extractor and tried other brands of the same style, and this one works. I was able to hook it up to my metric size 17 socket and use my ratchet and a cheater bar to remove a broken 1/2" nipple from the wall. The nipple extractor gripped the nipple no problem. Could not have done the job without it.

Not for removing broken shower arm nipples
I purchased this item on the reccomendation of a YT video that said it would work great to remove a broken section of a shower arm. In my application the shower arm was broken off in a drop ear elbow (Pex to FNPT). The physical dimensions (long and tapered) prevent its use in my situation, the extractor simply hits the back of the shower fitting and does not engage with the nipple threads. Looks like a great product otherwise.
