3/4" Nipple and Screw Extractor

I used this on a rotted 3/4 nipple feeding a hot water heater. Worked like a charm.

Needs a slight tap to start the threads, but latches on to remove Symmonds TA-4 seat.

I bought this tool for the same reason as other reviewers did, to remove the cold water valve seat from a Symmons Temptrol bath and tub valve. The Symmons tool just doesn't have enough grip to remove this seat on older valves (stripped badly). This tool did the trick, but without much margin. It just fits into the seat, so by tapping it slightly to get a good initial grip, it dug in firmly enough to finish the job. Note the other types of 3/4" expanding nipple extractors won't work on this cold water seat, they're too large and won't fit the opening.

Let me explain.. changed seats on a symmons temptrol valve. Heard some horror stories about removing the (large) cold seat even with the symmons tool. Bought this extractor as an insurance policy. Seats came out no problem with symmons tool however. The five stars is because SupplyHouse has always delivered on time and in good shape. The tool looks very stout and test fit the symmons cold seat exactly as I had hoped. It will be in my tool box for the next time I change out the valve parts

The simmons temptrol seals get stuck and the Raven tool or Simmons tool will strip out the small brass slots, this tool grabs as a reverse screw and will remove the seal. Shipping was wicked fast!
