Description

No nicking, no compressing, no piercing... installations with the RB Flush Mount Clips are damage-free! Available in three sizes for a perfect fit. Each clip uses two nails - not staples - to securely attach radiant tubing or PEX pipe to any wooden surface.
The polyethylene material of the clips matches the material of the tubing so that normal expansion is allowed but friction noise is reduced. Properly installed with either the RB-5 Manual Clip Gun or the RB-6 Pneumatic Clip Gun, these clips provide holding power that is both safe and long-lasting.

It made the job easy

With the neumatic gun to attach the tubing to the subfloor It's a breeze.

Undecided how much i like this product..

They are very easy to use and install. My problem with them is that they don't hold the tubing up tightly enough. The staples can easily pull out of the wood. It may very well matter what wood they are being stapled in to but for my sub floor, these were not the best choice. A screw in type would be better, but would have taken longer to install.

Essential

Tried and true system, nice to have a supply for the staples! Too many shops only stock the trend these days.

Purchased another 800 clips

Work perfect to fasten 1/2" per tubing to wood boards. Using both manual and pneumatic stapler to fasten these down. Both staplers work well and fasten these clips firmly.

Great for holding my tubing ot the floor boards.

I had used heat radiator/reflector plates under most if the floors, but there were obstructions (protruding nails) under a couple of rooms that prevented there use. In those two areas I used the flush clips to hold the tubing right against the floorboards and the heat transfer of the clipped areas is comparable to the heat transfer in the areas with plates (in the rooms with carpet). The hold strength is far greater than I was expecting for a small plastic clip and has really made the job of installation far easier, and less expensive, that alternative methods of installation.

THEY FALL OUT.

They don't hold very well. They pull out easily. Need Barbs or Glue on the nails, or should I say "Brads". Nice concept, Fast, poor engineering.

Good Product has some quirks

Overall I like the stapler works great with pex or onix piping. The directions say to squeeze the handle action three times, I've had better luck with four or five. Partial clips sometimes don't like to reload but can be used with some finesse. I've never had any wasted product to date.
